Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has in the past been accused of periodically remaining non-committal on national issues, especially those that demand courage and hard decision making.
The same is seemingly repeating itself with the former Vice President going silent at a time when his opposition co-principals are busy tearing into the National Super Alliance (NASA) chief Raila Odinga over alleged betrayal and mistreatment.
Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and his Amani National Congress (ANC) counterpart Musalia Mudavadi have since launched an offensive attack on Raila for allegedly supervising Wetangula's unceremonious Senate Minority Leader ouster, with Kalonzo, who had since pledged allegiance to the duo, remaining silent.
The two are also discontented with Odinga's move to single-handedly sign a peace pact with President Uhuru Kenyatta in their absence terming it as disloyalty.
They have since formed a united front aimed at sabotaging Raila's political operations, Kalonzo is yet to take a position.
Kalonzo is apparently not sure on whose side to join since both decisions are likely to have consequences.
Should he remain silent, the leader will have proven those who have since labelled him ''watermelon'' and a coward right, tags that were heavily thrown at him when he joined the duo in skipping Odinga's January 30 mock Presidential inauguration.
On the other hand, if he decides to join the anti-Raila team, he will have also dealt himself a blow for turning against them after an earlier pledge of unity.
