Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama was among the Pangani six. Leaders from cord and Jubilee who were arrested and charged over hate speech.

The senator seems to be above the law since few days after his release on bond, he made the same hate speech that could led him charged with ethnic contempt, an offence that carries a five year prison sentence.

While attending a political rally in Busia during a homecoming ceremony for county Woman Representative Florence Mutua who was also arrested and detained for hate speech last month, Muthama was accused of uttering hate speech on Monday 27, 2016.

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko ordered investigations by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission to be done for the senator to face the law. 

The senator seems not to be threatened to be arrested and charged in court since he has been quoted saying he will be charged for speaking the truth. What might this truth might he be speaking about?  The lawmaker spent 4 days in cell but later committed same crime few days later.
