The Kisauni parliamentary race is likely to take a different twist after Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga on Saturday held a brief meeting with aspirant Ali Mbogo. The meeting between the former prime minister and Mbogo has already fueled suspicion of the latter rejoining ODM after he defected to Wiper. Mbogo walked out of ODM in February to join Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper, citing frustrations by a section of ODM leaders in Mombasa. The aspirant had claimed that some leaders within ODM were hatching a plot to rig him out during the party nominations. The opposition leader met Mbogo a few hours after he arrived at the coastal city on Saturday."I am currently having a meeting with the ODM party leader at his residence in Nyali," posted Mbogo in his supporter's Whatsapp group. The aspirant, however, did not reveal what transpired during the meeting with the National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal. According to analysts, Mbogo was among the most likely aspirants to clinch seat because of his close relationship with Raila until he opted to walk away from ODM. The meeting was also attended by Nyali MP hopeful Mohamed Ali.
