Kitui Governor Julius Malombe has accused former Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu of dishonesty in her quest to support Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's Presidential candidature.
Speaking on Friday, Malombe claimed that Ngilu wants to solidify her Kitui gubernatorial bid to power through Kalonzo ahead of the August polls.
“Ngilu’s body language betrays her. She is not genuine. She wants to use Kalonzo’s name to clinch the gubernatorial seat and then turn back to her former self,” he noted.
Malombe further accused Ngilu and Kitui Senator David Musila of a wider plot to lock him out of the Wiper Party primaries.
“Ngilu and Musila have hatched a plot to unseat me in the forthcoming polls. They are forging a working relationship to ensure they unseat me. But this will not work,” he noted.
Ngilu has in the recent past shown enthusiasm in her support for Kalonzo's presidential bid, despite the two having a froty political relationship spanning for decades.
