Bandari FC extended their winless run to three games following their barren drawn against defensive-minded Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday in a match played at the Mbaraki Sports Club.
The Dockers’ have now picked just one point in the last three matches.
The team's run of three matches without a win is their longest since the beginning of the 2017 KPL season, a situation that subjects Coach Paul Nkata who is in his debut season at the Mombasa-based club under further scrutiny.
The results saw them further drop to 8th on the league standings and further dim the club's faint hopes of challenging for the league title after an overwhelming season in 2016.
With the Kenya Ports Authority-sponsored club continuing to struggle, all eyes will now be on Paul Nkata, a man who was hired to bring success to the club owing to his impressive CV.
However, his impact is yet to be felt and for the club that is yearning for immediate success, Nkata's job is now under real threat.
Despite pumping a lot resources during the January transfer window to build a team that can challenge for titles, the impact of such huge funding is yet to be felt. And as always, all the blame will go to the coach.
For impatient employers like Bandari, pulling a trigger on the Ugandan tactician may be a matter of when rather than if as long as the poor string of results continue.
