Since Nyong’o took over as Kisumu Governor, we have seen numerous development projects in the region with the latest being the multi-million low cost housing and establishment of a breweries centre in Kisumu.
All these projects are closely linked to the national government, under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Following the famous handshake between President Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga, Nyong’o has been working with the government in various sectors.
After the handshake, Nyong'o accompanied President Kenyatta to Cuba where they attended bench-marking of the Universal health coverage in the South American nation.
The Governor has also held several meeting with top government officials with an aim of improving service delivery to Kisumu people.
Yesterday, the Kisumu County Boss met Cabinet Secretary in charge of the Industrialization Mohamed Adan, and discussed an array of issues of possible partnership between the two levels of government, focus being in relation to the National Government Big Four agenda.
The County has also been selected among those that will pilot the 100 percent universal health coverage in the country that is line with President Kenyatta's Big Four agenda. Other counties that have been selected include; Machakos, Isiolo and Nyeri.
Are all these courtesy of Nyog'o's hard work or is warming up to the executive?
