It is clear that the ODM party leader, Raila Odinga, has ignored any discussion on his retirement.
This indicates darkness on his political path with others taking it as a loss of interest in the top leadership.
Raila has been meeting different and well-known personalities across the country. In a number of the meeting, his interest has been enacting and putting into practice the MoU agreement signed with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Oftenly, the former PM has also committed himself to back the fight against corruption.
The mentality that 'Baba' should exit politics should die now and fourth. Being an experienced politician Raila's presence in the political arena is of great significance. Either, his embarkment on the ongoing fight against the monster corruption is fundamental.
As the opposition leader, Raila is able to follow up with most of the government activities and reveal any suspicious activity. In fact, it is the opposition to push for most of the developments in a country.
However, the laxity of Raila on matters to do with 2022 polls is disadvantageous because to some extent, it may compromise the competitiveness of those in government as a result of being in a comfort zone.
Therefore, Raila should hold on to scrutinizing the activity logs of the government agents and forget about retiring from politics.
