Deputy President William Ruto is now being accused by three media personalities of being biased when it comes to accepting interview requests.

The three who include KTN’s Jeff Koinange, Investigative Journalist Mohammed Ali of Jicho Pevu and NTV’s Larry Madowo now want to know when the Deputy President will accept interview requests from other media outlets.

This comes following Larry Madowo’s sentiments on his twitter handle.

"Will the Deputy President someday accept interview requests from other outlets too?" asked Madowo.

Mohammed Ali and Jeff Koinange quickly responded to Madowo’s tweet and stated that they were wondering when that would be.

"Larry hata mimi nauliza," (Larry, I am also asking the same) stated Mohammed Ali @MohaJichoPevu on Twitter

"Ahem… Ahem… I’m with you Larry," added Jeff Koinange @KoinangeJeff on Twitter. "Tallam, niaje niaje?" (Tallam, how is it?)

However the DP's press service man Emmanuel Tallam came to the defense of Ruto, stating that the DP had recently done an interview with BBC and CNN.

"He spoke to CNN, BBC just recently," stated Tallam @EmmanuelTalam on Twitter.

The former three have raised this question after Ruto was recently interviewed by Hussein Mohammed on Citizen TV on several issues such as the IEBC stalemate and the recent move by Internal CS Joseph Nkaissery to ban all demos.

The trend set, therefore, is that Ruto will only be interviewed by outside media outlets. And if he were to be interviewed on the local scenes, it will have to be on Citizen TV as insinuated by Koinange, Madowo and Ali. And if this is the case, would one say that the DP is outrightly biased he cant meet other media houses? Did his grudge with the 'meat-wrapping' publications like Daily Nation and Standard eventually translate into an extended grudge to their TV stations NTV and KTN respectively?

Perhaps it is mere chance.

Perhaps it is planned.

No one can tell.
