Celebrated Gospel Singer Bahati has been hitting headlines for different reasons. Even before the dust settles over his new song with secular Tanzanian Singer Rajvanny, Bahati is at it again.
This time round the singer is not talking about his prayer partner or alleged ''beef" with Yes I do hit maker Willy Paul but politics.
The talented singer took to social media and hinted about joining politics. Bahati alleged that he had met President Kenyatta who advised him to join this ‘dirty field’, as some preacher will call it somewhere in Mavoko.
The singer alleged that President Kenyatta had assured him of his support if he enters the field ahead of the August polls.
“I Promise to give you 100% Support in Your Journey to Greatness, Count On Me Bahati!!! ” Almost Shed a Tear when President Uhuru Kenyatta said this to me Minutes Ago at State House Nairobi. Who's like my God???”
Bahati said about the meeting with the head of State as quoted by Ghafla. However, it did not take long before the singer posted another contradicting statement about his intentions to join the field of politics in the near future.
He claimed that the post was malicious but did not shed more light on the issue leaving his fans in a dilemma.
“Please stop this…I can never be a politician. Am called to be a voice of the African child. Na mwenyeamejenga hii uongo mwambieni Bahati hapendi ujinga (whoever is spreading these lies tell him Bahati doesn’t tolerate nonsense.)” he wrote on Facebook.
