Many parents are wondering what to do now that people have realized that the end result of the education system is purely grade oriented.

Students are studying just to pass examinations, and many are venturing out into the workplace betting on terms they crammed in the classroom, without any marketable skills.

Remember subjects like Home Science, Art and Music? They aimed at targeting relatable occupations and teaching the basics of areas of expertise that many have found as solid careers.

This is a system that has put students' talents in the back burner and chose instead to infuse well coined phrases and terms into the minds of a generation that we hope to leave the future of our country in.

Theory is important, but many parents argue that students who possess other skills and talents are being overlooked. Skills and talents can only be perfected through practice and utility, and it is hard to imagine a country where every known skill to mankind can be learned through a grading system.

Skills vary and talents are inborn, but experience will always be a necessity. Workplaces require experience and students find that to be lacking in their resumes as they apply for work.

They possess the grades and relevant diplomas and degrees, but they have talents as well. Talents that they don't get to exercise and acquire the relevant experience and expertise.

The purpose of a system is to produce similar end products, but is that efficiency worth the talents we lose everyday due to inactivity and atrophy?
