The mended relationship between opposition chief Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta is seemingly heading to hit the rock bottom following the latest series of events around the political sphere in the country.
Things really looked sour during the last week when the NASA head claimed that the only election that was fare was the one for 2002. His statement in UK meant that he is still maintaining that his votes were rigged in the previous election despite the handshake that was meant to clear all 'messes' during the election.
On his part, president Uhuru said he has no time to run all over Kenya telling people to change the constitution citing that it won't solve the problems Kenyans have.
“I have no time to run around telling people to change the Constitution. It won’t solve the problems we have. But engaging with the private sector on manufacturing like we are doing (I) will,” President Kenyatta said according to a post in president.go.ke
President Kenyatta stands for no referendum while opposition chief Raila Odinga stands for a referendum. This is a clear indication that the two are out of agreement especially when Odinga maintained that the elections were rigged as opposed to president Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto who believe that they won 'fair and square'.
The Building Bridges agenda entailed a referendum that was meant to create a 3-tier government consisting of a president, a deputy president and an executive prime minister.
