Suna East MP Junet Mohammed seems to be taking the place of Prof. Nyong'o and Orengo to emerge as Raila's most trusted ally.

That was confirmed recently when the lawmaker accompanied Raila for a crucial meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Last year, the vocal MP also accompanied Raila for a holiday in Zanzibar and was later rewarded with the chief minority whip position in the National Assembly.

Before the  2013 election, little was known about Junet,  but after his convincing win to become the first Somali to win a parliamentary seat in Migori, the youthful politician announced his arrival into the country's political scene.

With solid support on the ground and being Raila's key ally, Junet could be the next big thing in Nyanza.
