Coalition for Reforms and Democracy leader Raila Odinga should consider selecting another politician to take over Cord coalition's leadership.
Raila is one man whose influence in the political circles have deeply been felt in the country.
The Cord leader has had a long stint in the Kenyan political arena being a Member of Parliament for Langata constituency for 21 years running from 1992 to 2013.
He was also Prime Minister for five years from 2008 to 2013 during the coalition government that was formed after the Post-Election Violence that followed a bungled poll in December 2007.
One problem he has exhibited overtime however, is his involuntarism in selecting somebody else to take over the agitation for the democratization process in the country- a development he has fought for for a long time.
Many young politicians who have worked with him have decamped citing 'lack of democracy' in parties he has headed.
Raila should therefore select an individual who will replace him at the helm of Cord as he prepares to bow out of politics.
