Majority of Kenyans use road transport to move from one place to another.
This is because the majority of Kenyans are poor and that is the only means of transport that they can afford comfortably.
Taking a flight has always been a preserve for the rich and the super-rich.
Those who belong to this category are very few.
Majority of those who can afford flights in Kenya are politicians and businessmen and businesswomen who own big businesses and make big money.
But even the poor get lucky sometimes.
Thanks to Jambojet new promotion.
According to a business news report published by a media outlet, Jambojet has cut airfare to as low as Kshs 2,200 in the promotional offer.
This represents a 50% discount.
The offer runs from Tuesday to Thursday.
The offer will see domestic flights to Nairobi, Kisumu, Eldoret, Mombasa and Ukunda costs as low as Kshs 2,200 one-way flight.
Comparing this to bus fares, it basically means that all Kenyans are now eligible to fly.
Bus fares from Kisumu to Mombasa costs Kshs 1,500 during low season and as much as Kshs 3,000 during high season.
Those traveling to Mombasa from Kisumu and vice versa using a bus will now find it cheaper to fly.
Jambojet has introduced this crazy offer to mark their 4th year operating in Kenya.
“As we celebrate our fourth birthday, we’re pleased to officially launch this promotional fare that’s in line with our mantra of enabling more Kenyans to fly to all their desired destinations affordably,” Willem Hondius, the CEO said in a statement sent to newsrooms on Monday ,read a part of the report.
