Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has said Wiper party will have at least 10 legislators from Nyamira and Kisii counties in the 12th Parliament.
Momanyi is the only Wiper MP from Gusii region but the party is keen on having more parliamentary representatives from all the 13 constituencies.
Speaking at Omogochoro in Nyamira County, Momanyi said Wiper will conduct free and fair nominations and those who will win the primaries will no doubt clinch their respective seats in the August 8 elections.
“From Gusii region, I am the only Wiper MP but I want to a assure our party leader Kalonzo Musyoka that we are going to be more than 10 out of the 13 constituencies we have in both Nyamira nad Kisii counties,” said Momanyi.
The ODM is the dominant party in both counties and it remains to be seen how the 2017 race will shape up.
He also used the opportunity to drum up support for Kalonzo saying he has sacrificed his presidential ambitions in the past and its now time for NASA leaders to let him be the opposition flag bearer.
He said the former vice president is the best candidate to send Jubilee home and transform Kenya.
“Kalonzo will win and rule this nation positively with development, let NASA give him a ticket to go for the presidential seat,” added Momanyi.
Kalonzo had toured Nyamira and Kisii counties as the Wiper party seeks to get more support ahead of the August polls.
