Women enjoying gossip. [Photo/eskimi.com] I do not think that honey is as sweet as gossip. Or maybe cake is what entices you. But still, cake does not surpass the rush of excitement that runs through your body when you are listening to or sharing gossip.
Too much sugar is not good for your teeth. They will decay. People who are addicted to gossiping always find themselves in trouble. A team of gossips cannot keep things within the circle. They will still take the juice around. Anyway, that is how gossips are wired. Discussing people's lives is a dangerous game. Well, first gossips tend to say mean things. Second, one hardly ever has solid information or a full picture of what another individual is going through. Once word gets around that you smeared someone's name, conflict erupts. Tainting people's reputation as a way to fill up your evening has dire consequences. Sharing private information is a sensitive matter. This is coupled with the fact that the information might have been shared in confidence. Either that or the gossip acquired the personal information through questionable means. The people you gossip can choose to fire back or create a grudge. This kind of enmity from those around you is unhealthy. Next time you shame someone on a gossip session, ready yourself for the tension that follows. Because eventually, your gossip circle will also divulge everything about you.
