Bomet governor Isaac Ruto is leading the National Super Alliance (Nasa) campaigns in Nakuru, even as President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto camp in his county for Jubilee Party campaigns.

Isaac Ruto, a strong opponent of William Ruto, formed the Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM), which seeks to beat Jubilee in Bomet, Kericho, Narok, Nakuru and other Rift Valley Counties, in the upcoming August 8 polls.The party has filled candidates across the region, with aims of popularising Nasa, which aims to take over the Rift Valley.Uhuru and Ruto have a Jubilee candidate who seeks to unseat governor Ruto. Sotik MP, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso, is optimistic of sending the fifth Nasa co-principal, home, after she clinched the Jubilee candidature during April primaries.Laboso has been leading anti-Ruto and Nasa campaigns in Bomet, asking residents to support Kenyatta's re-election.

Ruto was sceduled to visit Kuresoi, Mauche, Keringet and Njoro sub-counties to rally support for Nasa.On the other hand, Jubilee visits Mgogosiek, Sigor, Chemaner, Kaplong, Chebole, Sotik, and finally Bomet town, where a public rally would be held.
