As Isiolo Governor Mohamed Kuti took his oath of office he made clear his plans to repair the mess left by the previous administration.

During his inauguration on Wednesday, the governor said that Isiolo County has bills worth Sh1 billion and still has approximately 1,000 ghost workers.

The governor plans to identify these ghost workers affecting the counties economy and national resources.

“I will ensure that my administration will fulfill all the pledges we made while traversing the county for votes,” said Dr Kuti who also called on elected leaders to work together.

The former Governor Godana Doyo was represented by his deputy the after he did not attend ceremony, who then handed over power.

According to one of the governor’s competitors, Mohamed Guleid, former governor Doyo did not work with other leaders in developing the county thus leaving the county with a lot to repair.
