The MP who toured the estate yesterday said that the residents risks being evicted and losing all their properties if they do not have all the valid documents to prove ownership.

"We all know that the people living there are the bonafide and also legitimate owners of  the plots there but without the necessary documents to prove ownership they highly risk being evicted from their plots.

This is why am kindly asking the County Government of Kiambu together with the Ministry of Housing to go ahead and give them allotment letters so that they can go ahead and use them to get the title deeds", Nganga said.

Nganga said that most residents have not gone ahead and develop their plots since they fear that the county government may end up demolishing their properties and evicting them.

"We all understand and respect the county government by laws and we cannot go against them. This issue has really delayed development in this estate since most of them fear constructing and developing buildings in these plots", Nganga said.

Nganga said that her office was going to ask the CS of lands to intervene since the county government was taking too long to react to the matter. "We are appealing for a very fast resolution so that the resident here can stay at peace", The MP said.

The MP went ahead and asked area chief Mr. Daniel Waiguru to find the contacts of all the land buying and selling companies that were involved in the selling of the land to the residents there.
