[Photo/kisii.go.ke]As the Kisii governor James Ongwae waits for his list of nominees to be vetted by the county committee on appointment, the residents of the banana rich county want him to address certain issues in his second and final term.One of the issues that they want to be addressed is the problem of water that they have been grappling with.They want the ongoing water projects in Birongo, Riokindo, Nyaura, Chitangi, and Mokenene to be finished quickly.''Water is a big problem here. I here there is a water project being done by the government. We are requesting our government to expedite it. We are walking long distances for water.'' Justus Mecha, a resident of Nyaura says.The people of Kisii also want the governor to deal with the impropriety issues that have dogged his administration.Kenya's Auditor General put the county on the spot over the embezzlement and mismanagement of funds.''That report gave the county a bad name. We don't want a Kisii that has a reputation for corruption. He should address those issues.'' Esther Nyaboke says.Governor Ongwae's work is cut out and he will need a strong team to deliver on his administration's pledges to the people of Kisii.
