Kitui West legislator and the leader of the minority in the National Assembly Francis Nyenze has come out to claim that Wiper-K party will not endorse any other political leader in the Cord flag-bearer position if it is not Kalonzo Musyoka.
The legislator made the remarks at Kyaani Girls Secondary School in Kitui County during a school function on Tuesday October 25, and he went ahead to claim that Kalonzo was the only person ready to lead Cord to victory in 2017 elections against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"It is either Kalonzo is the flag bearer of Cord for 2017 elections or nothing. Kalonzo should be on the ballot as a presidential candidate because he is the only one suitable to face President Uhuru Kenyatta and if he is not given the flag-bearer position, then we will consider our options," said Nyenze.
The Minority leader went ahead to accuse ODM and Cord co-principal leader of looking down upon Wiper leaders and called on the leader to change tact or they will look for other partners in the race to unseat Jubilee party in 2017.
He, however, welcomed the move to have all opposition parties and leaders unite in the common goal of defeating Jubilee in 2017 elections.
