Cord will not fold up to join any mega alliances but will rather 'swallow' them up to form a formidable team, an MP has revealed.
Busia County woman representative Florence Mutua on Wednesday said the much-hyped National Super Alliance (NASA) should consider coming into Cord to boost the coalition's chances of winning the 2017 polls.
Speaking during a breakfast show on Radio Citizen, the ODM MP said there is no way Cord with its numerous elected leaders can just dissolve and join the outfit associated with former vice president Musalia Mudavadi.
"We are telling Mudavadi that he is the one to join us in Cord with NASA, not the other way round because we are so many," she said.
She, however, welcomed the idea to have all the opposition leaders unite under one roof saying such a move would give them a political edge against the Jubilee Party.
NASA seeks to bring on board Mudavadi's Amani National Congress (ANC) and the Cord affiliates of--ODM, Wiper and Ford Kenya -- Baringo Senator Gideon Moi's Kanu and the Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) of Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto.
