National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has urged Kenyans to reject Opposition coalition NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking in Makueni on Saturday, the Garissa Township MP noted that the opposition Chief stands no chance of winning the next polls, challenging the Ukambani region to instead back President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election bid.
“No one goes into elections with the aim of ending up being in the Opposition. People go to polls to win,” he noted.
The Lower Eastern region overwhelmingly voted for the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) which had ODM leader Raila Odinga as its presidential candidate.
According to a recent survey, the region is poised to vote for Raila Odinga who is giving the presidency a fourth stab.
He is to be deputized by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who has a massive following and support from the Ukambani region.
