Deputy President William Ruto has asked leaders to respect the Constitution and abide by the rule of law when addressing issues.
Ruto expressed concern that the opposition leaders were setting a dangerous precedent when they call for disobedience of the Judiciary.
"Recent events in the country clearly show the opposition want Kenyans to totally disregard the Constitution and by the extension the law. We as the government will not allow this," he said.
Ruto said Cord had declined to engage in talks in Parliament and now it was targeting its arsenal to the Judiciary, both independent institutions recognized by the Constitution.
Speaking on Friday at Molem grounds in Embakasi West Constituency, Nairobi, after he launched the tarmac work on the Baraka-Savanna road, the Deputy President said it was wrong for leaders to call for mass action to protest a court order.
