The Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Hon. Adan Duale has described the violent situation during Raila Odinga's welcome as a "ceremony of looting" and nothing close to a homecoming fete. Speaking during the burial of the late Governor Dr. Wahome Gakuru in Nyeri, Duale blamed the former Prime Minister for perpetuating a culture of political violence for personal gain."How many lives do you want to be lost or property destroyed to reach where you want?" the Garissa town legislator posed.He added that Raila got the premiership in 2008 through bloodshed. Hon. Duale chided Raila Odinga for seeking to change the laws of the land to allow for a parliamentary system and not that this will not help him either. He added that leadership is God-given and should not be taken by brute force. Speaking at the same forum, the leader of the majority in the Senate Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen, condoled with the family and prayed for healing during the difficult moment. He urged Kenyans to pull together during this difficult moment.
