Political analyst Samuel Salat says there will be Jubilee in 2017 and no more in 2022.
He says Jubilee is shining now because of President Uhuru Kenyatta who he says commands a good number of following and popular with the people.
He adds that Uhuru is a humble and tolerant president unlike the Deputy President who is very quick in attacking his rivals.
“It will be easy for Jubilee in 2017 because of Uhuru Kenyatta who is the people’s favorite,” he says.
Salat added that the DP is forgetting that the fame and prosperity in Jubilee now is as a result of the president, and if the president is not there then there is no Jubilee.
He advises the president not to forget that he has a task ahead in 2022 and not pride in the current power and fame.
“Ruto might be in for a rude shock in 2022. The fame and political mileage in Jubilee is as a result of Uhuru. He should work to maintain the followers otherwise they will go with Uhuru after his second term,” added Salat.
He advises Ruto to make hay while the sun still shines.
“It is time Ruto also made his own progress and made Uhuru’s people his people by following his footsteps otherwise he may never see State House again,” he added.
