Specimens of his handwriting and signature were taken for more investigation.

The collected specimens will be tested against hand-written sections of an alleged fake document police say Joho used to gain admission at the University of Nairobi (UoN).

Even as the ODM deputy party leader vowed not to relent on his quest of “defending the people who elected him”, his fate now remains in the balance pending results of specimen.

Joho dismissed claims of forging any document, further stating that all this drama was choreographed by President Uhuru Kenyatta due to his unwavering stance against Jubilee’s political approach at the Coast region.

On Tuesday, the Mombasa governor said he scored a D- in KCSE in 1993 at Serani Secondary. He said he was proud with his D Minus.

He also dismissed earlier papers that indicated he obtained a C+ grade in 1992 at Serani Secondary School in Mombasa for his KCSE examinations.

On Monday, the Principal of Serani Secondary School Abbas Juma Ulaya defended Joho. He said Joho was at the school from February 1990 and left in November 1993, having successfully sat his KCSE exams.

Despite the standing facts as at the moment, persons privy to the investigations have confided to The Star that Joho could face charges over the claims. The local paper states that the case file has been forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
