Four Iterio boys high school students in Kisii South district have been arrested for allegedly burning the school dormitory on Saturday at 11 am.
Addressing the press on Sunday Kisii South district Administration Police officer Ngonja Mwero said the four students have been arrested for allegedly burning the school dormitory on Saturday as the investigation commenced immediately.
“There were three form one students and one from form two who were caught burning the school dorm and two mattresses were already burnt,” said Ngonja Mwero.
“There are police officers in the school who always provides security in the school and they saw the smoke from the dorm and rushed there and they arrested the four students and they will be arraigned in court to answer,” added Mwero.
Iterio boy’s high school was reopened in the last one week since it got closed due to the burning of the seven school dormitories in the last one month.
