Two Members of Uasin Gishu County Assembly have expressed interest in the powerful leader of majority seat.

The two - incumbent Josphat Lowoi and new comer Gilbert Tenai - are currently engaged in an intense lobbying among fellow MCAs to ensure they clinch the seat.

Jubilee party won all except for one MCA seat in the 30 wards and will be picking the leader of majority.

Speaking in Eldoret, Monday, Tenai who is the Cheptiret/Kipchamo MCA-elect expressed confidence that he will clinch the seat which he said should go to either Turbo, Kesses or Kapseret constituencies so as to balance leadership equation in the county.

"The governor comes from Soy, Senator is from Moiben and Woman Representative Ainabkoi and another constituency should get the leader of majority seat so that they are also represented in the county leadership," noted Tenai, who is from Kesses constituency.

"I have the experience to be the leader of majority and all I am interested is to see a good working relationship between the Assembly and Executive since this is key for us to offer quality services to mwananchi," he added.

Both Tenai and Lowoi who is the Karuna Mibeki MCA-elect have close relationship with governor Jackson Mandago and it remains to be seen whether he will throw his weight behind one of them.
