It is all systems go for Saturday’s national prayer and thanksgiving rally at Afraha stadium as Nakuru County government announced that it has neared the finality of the preparation.
Speaking in a meeting with the county committee tasked with organising the event on the part of the county government Wednesday, Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua said that they have done their part.
He said that since the event is a national government function, the county government was not fully responsible for its planning.
“The county committee is only involved in several levels of preparations considering the prayer rally is a National Government function and we have done our part and neared completion,” he said.
Curtain-raising entertainment which will be done by locally sourced artists in showcasing variety and diversity in their presentations has been completed.
Other essential services like ambulances, fire engines, first aid and medical tents fully equipped with drugs will be provided by the county government.
