The outspoken leaders have questioned the stand of the former Prime Minister when it comes to matters to do with corruption in the nation.

This comes after Raila came to the defense of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) governors from the coastal region and other parts of the nation for the audit queries their governments are facing following a report from the Auditor General’s office.

"His double standards spell doom for citizens in ODM-controlled counties. It is evident that Raila will not only condone corruption there but also spare no effort to defend those participating in it," Duale said on Wednesday, as quoted by The Star.

Duale asked why Raila has been launching attack after attack against certain government institutions only to defend corrupt governors because they are supporting his presidential bid in the next general elections.

"It is immensely difficult to believe that this is the same Raila who has gone hammer and tongs against government institutions on the basis of draft interim audit reports, striving to portray the government in bad light," he said.
