The political tides in NASA are becoming stronger as we near the August 8, polls. Those on board are not sure if they will dock safely. Each candidate is looking for an excuse to lock out his competitors for the most coveted opposition presidential ticket.

One unsettled man is Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who has started factoring in his age as a merit for him to be chosen. Speaking at Bomas of Kenya when he met Wiper aspirants to plan free and fare nominations, Kalonzo said it is his time to be the president.

"My brother Raila made it very clear that anyone can be president. Now at my age of 63 years, why would I delay that decision any further?" Kalonzo asked.

Musyoka added that even Jubilee know that he is the man who can oust President Kenyatta from State House. He urged his opposition friend not to delay in naming him the flag bearer.

"And if you know if you put Kalonzo there Jubilee will go home. Why delay?" asked the former vice president in a move to prove he is the best alternative.

Aspirants and party officials supported his push to be named opposition candidate to face the incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta. They believe the committee tasked with choosing the candidate will settle on Kalonzo.

Led by party secretary general, Wiper has warned that mudslinging their party leader as he fights for the most coveted seat in the country will work agaist the coalition.

"He cannot only be an ally when he is supporting you but he is called a traitor when he wants to be president," Senator Omar said.
