Since his election into office 3 years ago, the Muhoroni lawmaker Onyango K'Oyoo has maintained a low political profile to an extent that he is not even known to some of his voters.
The time is ticking for the lawmaker to deliver on his mandate lest he fades into oblivion as the 2017 poll is fast approaching.
According to the area residents, the lawmaker has been unable too fully use his position to better the lives of his constituents as compared to his predecessor Prof Ayieko Olweny whom he narrowly defeated in a bitterly contested race.
The man, who confounded pundits and critics alike, has an uphill task in 2017 as he has only one and a half years to prove to his critics that he is the right man for the job.
James Opiyo, an area resident believes that not even the party will save the legislator’s political career which is seemingly dwindling.
To him, the only way to redeem his terrible development record is by making good use of the remaining time.
"Mr Onyango’s development record has been terrible and we appeal to him to change his ways to resuscitate his political career," said Opiyo.
Will the legislator survive the wrath of the voters? Only time will tell. But for now, the mood on the ground is not encouraging.
