Speaking at a community gathering in kiooro market, area building consultant, Mathew Nyaega, said that it is  risky to build in this season because the structures cannot be strong enough since they remain wet and vulnerable to collapsing which is dangerous to the people at the construction sites.

This has come a few days after a building that was under constructions collapsed, luckily enough none was injured since the incident took place in the middle of the night.

Nyaega also noted that some contractors allow workers to work even at night which is against the National Construction Authority (NCA) laws, as that would lead to injuries since many people may not be keen while on duty.

He sounded a strong warning to those firms which will not adhere to the terms and conditions laid out by the NCA saying that such people will be held accountable for any outcome of their ignorance to the rules.

He also urged the public to cooperate and report any cases of such violations to the authorities for action to be taken.
