The next General Elections will mean more to Deputy President William Ruto than President Uhuru Kenyatta, a member of parliament has said.
In his view, Kuresoi North Member of Parliament Moses Cheboi said that Ruto will do the best of his ability to ensure that Uhuru wins so that he can increase chances of his success as president comes 2022.
“The 2017 election means a lot to DP Ruto than it means to Uhuru and Ruto will do all he can to ensure that Uhuru wins re-election in 2017. If Uhuru fails in 2017 then Ruto automatically fails in 2022 and that is why he must work hard to ensure that Uhuru is re-elected,” said Cheboi.
“Ruto will ensure that Uhuru gets more votes than he got in 2013 because by doing so he will be cementing his chances of being elected in 2022,” he said.
Cheboi said that if Ruto helps Uhuru to win in 2017, then it will be hard for Uhuru to betray him comes 2017.
