State House operative Dennis Itumbi has congratulated Former KTN investigative journalist Mohammed Ali, who is popularly known as Moha Jiho Pevu for putting up a spirited fight in the just completed Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) nominations as he was seeking the Nyali Parliamentary seat ahead of the August polls.
Itumbi, the Digital Director of Communications in the Office of the President, said that it takes courage to join the field of politics like Moha did despite losing to Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho’s brother Said Abdalla in one of the most contested races at the Coast.
He went to rebuke Kenyans who have been laughing at Moha following the defeat, "I will not join those laughing at you or mocking you, it takes courage, emotions and lots of investment to campaign and seek votes, "For that Heko," read part of the post.
Itumbi cited the case of Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka who lost three times but he managed to rise to become a vice President of this country and President Uhuru Kenyatta who contested twice for the nation’s top seat.
"The political journey for you has just started and losing is not the end, President Uhuru Kenyatta lost his bid for MP in 1997 and for President in 2002, "Kalonzo Musyoka lost his MP bid in 1983 or thereabout, he rose to be VP,” added Itumbi.
