Kilifi Women Representative Aisha Jumwa has warned her bitter rival in the Malindi parliamentary seat Willy Mtengo to prepare for another defeat when they face off during the August 8 poll.
Jumwa said the election will be a rematch of the ODM nominations in April where she emerged victorious.Speaking during a rally in Malindi on Friday where she was accompanied by Governor Amason Kingi, the firebrand politician said she has no worthy opponent in the race. While dismissing Mtengo's threat, the ODM diehard supporter said the fact that she trounced Mtengo during the tension-packed ODM primaries is enough evidence that Mtengo will lose again.Jumwa also dismissed Jubilee's Philip Charo candidature terming it a ‘waste of time’.She said Kilifi is an ODM zone and that Charo has no chance in the race. The Women Rep also took the opportunity to drum up support for Kingi in his re-election bid, arguing that the Governor's tenure in office has brought significant development in the county. She also asked residents to support the candidature of NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, saying he is the only man capable of bringing change in the country.
