Former Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo has said he has never, at any given point, been involved in corruption.
Kimaiyo said that during his tenure as the IG, he arrested culprits who tried to bribe him and sacked corrupt police officers.
"I am a genuine person even my seniors knew this. At no given point was I involved in corruption during my time as the head in the police service. I arrested some officers who tried to bribe me to favor them," said Kimaiyo.
Kimaiyo also said that top government officers are the most corrupt people. He said that the Jubilee government had not done enough to fight corruption.
"When I served at the Kenya Airport Authority as the chairperson, I was surprised on how government officers are corrupt. But my stand as an intelligence expert never allowed that to take place in my presence," he said.
Kimaiyo has declared interest to vie for Elgeyo Marakwet senator seat come 2017.
He was speaking during an interview on Radio Jambo Tuesday morning.
