[Photo|Courtesy]Lawyers representing the National Super Alliance (Nasa) in the Supreme Court following the presidential election petition, have dismissed responses filed by the second respondent, tye IEBC.Nasa is contesting the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 polls after IEBC declared him winner, August 11. Uhuru is the first respondent in the case.Senior council James Orengo said he had taken a keen look at the IEBC evidence documents, and had no security proofs, meaning they were fake."Most of the 54,000 papers filed by IEBC have no security features as stipulated in their Acts. We are justified on why we were worried by the manner elections were carried out," Orengo told the press outside Supreme Court, Friday. He noted that Nasa had all that was required to win the petition and ensure Uhuru's victory is nullified for a fresh presidential election.According to Orengo, Nasa has a 'bombshell' that will be demonstrated at the court, showing how Uhuru's victory was 'computer generated', adding that everything about IEBC evidence and election was a forgery."A majority of IEBC papers are fake. In my many years of practice as a lawyer, I have never seen such magnitude of forgery. We have a bombshell and we will demonstrate it to the court," he said.Nasa lawyers have further filed an interlocutory application and written submissions in support of the petition, seeking the go ahead to scrutiny and audit of the IEBC elections materials. However through its lawyers, IEBC dismissed the Nasa petition, saying the presidential election result was issued basing on evidence of all received Forms 34A, 34B and 34C.
