Kitui South MP Rachel Nyamai has dismissed reports that there is bad blood between her and Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu.Nyamai said she has nothing personal against Ngilu, terming the reports in a section of media as false. The MP said her relationship with Ngilu is cordial and that she supports the Governor’s development agenda.Addressing residents in Mutomo on Saturday, Nyamai said she only differs with Ngilu on political ideologies.“I want to clearly state that I am not fighting or opposing Governor Ngilu’s development projects or agenda as being reported in some sections of the media,” said Nyamai, as quoted by The Star. Nyamai, who was re-elected on a Jubilee Party ticket in the recently concluded August 8 general election, said she will support Ngilu’s development agenda for the benefit of residents. The MP accused a section of politicians of fueling the purported enmity between her and Ngilu. She urged Kitui residents to ignore the rumours and instead work together for the sake of development.Last week, Nyamai who decamped from Ngilu’s NARC party hit out at Ngilu, accusing the Governor of badmouthing her.The MP claimed that Ngilu was intimidated and threated by her move to support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.Nyamai also refuted claims by Ngilu that she blocked the Governor’s convoy from accessing the constituency on Monday last week during the launch of ‘Ndengu Revolution’.
