Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV yesterday, Maalim said that he will win the Garissa Town seat by 8 AM.

Maalim further said that he has the numbers to send Duale packing in the August general election.

The Wiper party deputy leader claimed that locals are tired with Duale’s rhetoric and propaganda.

“Garissa Town locals have already made a decision and are only waiting for the polls day (August 8) to send Duale packing,” he said.

The former National Assembly deputy speaker said that he has an elaborate agenda to promote the living standards of the locals.

Maalim, who will be contesting on a Wiper party ticket has been accusing Duale of neglecting his role as the Garissa lawmaker.

He claims that Duale has become President Uhuru Kenyatta's spokesperson at the expense of delivering services to the Garissa locals.

Duale on the other hand has laughed off Maalim’s bid saying that locals are confident with his leadership.

Duale says that he will retain the Garissa parliamentary seat on a Jubilee Party ticket.
