Musila claims that Malombe is chest-thumping that he has an easy re-election on August 8.

Addressing supporters at Kitui Town on Friday, Musila vowed to send Malombe to early political retirement.

The senator said that he has the numbers that will make Malombe a one term governor.

“Let him continue to underestimate my bid but I will be the one celebrating massive victory on August 8,” he said as quoted by the People Daily.

Musila said that the wiper governor does not deserve re-election.

The senator claimed that Kitui has not seen development in the last four years Governor Malombe has been at the helm of leadership.

He accused the governor of sponsoring ghost projects.

“Malombe should come out and show us one by one the projects he claims to have commissioned in the last four years,” the senator said.

Musila who is running as an independent candidate asked residents to come out in large numbers on August 8 to send Governor Malombe packing.

The governor hopeful said that he is the ideal candidate to transform and steer the county into economic success.

Musila at the same time asked former Lands CS Charity Ngilu to shelve her bid and support him in the August 8 polls.

Musila said that he is the stronger candidate to beat governor Malombe, adding that he is willing and ready to work with Ngilu is she can drop her bid in his support.

Governor Malombe is seeking re-election on Wiper ticket and has dismissed Musila and Ngilu’s bid.

The governor claims that he has delivered the promises he made to in 2013 and is fit for another term.
