[Photo/nation.co.ke]Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has said that he has the qualities to become the country's next president after president Uhuru Kenyatta's terms ends in 2022.Mutua says that he is the right person to succeed President Kenyatta stating that his ideology for Maendeleo Chap Chap will transform the country should he be elected president in 2022.Speaking to journalists in Machakos Town on Saturday, Mutua said that he represents the change Kenyans have been yearning for many years, adding that the country will register social, political and economic transformation should he be elected president."I know of is too early to talk or discuss 2022 politics but it is not too early for one to start selling his agenda," he said.The Maendeleo Chap Chap governor said that he will pick up from where president Kenyatta will have left in terms of development, stating that he shares the same development agenda as president Kenyatta's party.Mutua said that the country needs leaders who are committed and dedicated to service delivery.Governor Mutua, who decamped from Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper party and formed his own party urged Kenyans not to give up saying that good leadership is coming.Governor Mutua is among top politicians who have declared interest for the presidential seat in 2022.Mutua will battle out with the likes of Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and deputy president William Ruto who have also declared an interest in the presidential seat come 2022.There are claims that Mutua is among top politicians being fronted to deputise William Ruto in 2022. Ruto will be flying the Jubilee ticket and is expected to take over from president Uhuru Kenyatta whose second term will have expired by 2022.Succession politics is already playing out as politicians align themselves in readiness for the 2022 presidential election.
