An Ivorian woman was Saturday morning arrested at the Moi International Airport, Mombasa while ferrying heroin valued at over Sh10 million.
Danho Aude-Bertille had boarded a Kenya airways flight to Abidjan, Ivory Coast at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) when her luggage was inspected, by anti-narcotics officers.
Coast Deputy Regional Commander Akello Odhiambo said they acted on a tip-off from credible source, leading to the arrest of the 28-years-old woman.
Investigations are still underway to ascertain the source and destination of the drugs as the suspect awaits prosecution.
