Uasin Gishu governor, Jackson Mandago, on Sunday called upon investors from across Africa to feel free to invest in Uasin Gishu county.
Mr. Mandago, who was representing DP William Ruto, described Uasin Gishu as a county that is friendly when it comes to matters investment.
Speaking during Krishna celebrations held at Patel hall in Eldoret, the governor asked investors both from East and West Africa to take their investments in Eldoret town. The governor assured investors of an enabling environment provided by an enabling environment of Uasin Gishu county.
"We also want to tell you, we are a very friendly investment county. If you want to invest, if you want to relocate your investments from East Africa, from West Africa,
"The only place, safe, assured, good transport network, international airport, special economic zone, very friendly people, very enabling government, Uasin Gishu government, Eldoret is the city," said Mr. Mandago.
The celebration was held by the members of the International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) society to celebrate the first visit of their god, Jagannath, in Kenya.
Turbo MP, Janet Sitiemei, who graced the occasion acknowledged the society's contribution to the growth of Uasin Gishu county.
"I know you have contributed to the development of Turbo constituency and Uasin Gishu county at large through the business community, through the medical sector, through the pharmaceutical industry," she said.
