Popular Kenyan musician, Jaguar, has come to the rescue of stranded Congolese musician Defao Mutumona Lulenda alias General Defao.
Jaguar cleared General Defao's Sh20,00 bill at Bobs Bar in Nyali.
Jaguar said he was touched by what had befallen Defao, and decided to help him since the incident can happen to anyone.
"When I heard about what had befallen Defao who is a respected and elderly musician, I decided to help,” said Jaguar, as quoted by the Standard.
"I am an artiste and what happened to Defao could happen to anyone, me included," he added.
Rashid Osundwa, the promoter of the bar where Defao was detained for hours, said he was not to blame for the unfortunate incident.
“He (Defao) agreed to be manipulated by one of his countrymen who served as a linkman in his musical tour," Osundwa said.
Reports indicate that Defao has since traveled to Nairobi after his bills were cleared.
