Starehe MP-elect Jaguar (Charles Njagua) has weighed into the debate of raising salaries of legislators.
Jaguar has stated that he does not support calls by fellow MPs for salary increment even though they have not been sworn in.
“Just to categorically state, I am not in support of a pay rise. Count me out,” said Jaguar through his twitter handle.
Calls to increase the MPs salaries are being fronted by Homa Bay Women Rep Gladys Wanga.
Speaking on Thursday, President Uhuru Kenyatta said that he will not sign any law proposing increase in MPs salaries.
