'Kigeugeu' hitmaker and Nacada director Charles Njagua Kanyi, popularly known as Jaguar, on Saturday stepped in to the aid of General Defao.
This was after news broke out that the Congolese maestro was stranded in a hotel in Mombasa after his promoter would not foot his bill.
General Defao accused the promoter of failing to honour their agreement, for the second time.
"Sasa Thursday nishafunga kila kitu, pesa hawajalipa, hoteli hawajalipa, manager wa hoteli akampigia simu, akasema mimi sina mgeni huko" (Now on Thursday after I had packed everything, they hadn't paid any money, they hadn't paid the hotel and when the hotel manager tried to call him, he said he didn't have any guest at the hotel) said Defao
Jaguar, who is known for his philanthropic nature, footed the Sh20, 000 bill that was keeping Defao detained in Rickseaside Villas Nyali.
This comes less than a month after Koffi Olomide, from Congo as well, hit the headlines for wrong reasons.
