Charles Kanyi Njagua better known as ‘Jaguar’ is on course to winning the Starehe Parliamentary seat in astonishing fashion.
With 75 per cent of the votes counted, Jaguar is leading with 46,268 votes, against two of his closest challengers.
Boniface Mwangi, activist turned politician, who was thought to be the frontrunner in the race is placed third as at 5:30 am, having garnered 12,003 votes.
Businessman Steve Mbogo, who was considered an ‘outsider’ in the race is second with 28,697 votes.
Jaguar is vying on a Jubilee Party ticket and is a close friend to President Uhuru Kenyatta. Mbogo on the other hand is vying on the ODM Party ticket.
Other candidates in the race have a handful of votes, with the process almost coming to a close in the constituency.
