Starehe MP Charles Kanyi Njagua popularly known as Jaguar has hit out at the Opposition leader Raila Odinga over calls to stage demonstrations to force the resignation of some IEBC officials who allegedly bungled the August 8 presidential election. On Wednesday, Raila announced that NASA will be holding protests across the country twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, aimed at forcing electoral reforms ahead of repeat polls set for October 26.But speaking to Kameme FM on Thursday, Jaguar dismissed the calls, terming Raila 'a confused politician'."The former Prime Minister is becoming very confused as the fresh election approaches. He is bringing new demands everyday. Now he has dragged Safaricom into his rigging claims. He should consider retiring from active politics," he said. The MP further defended Jubilee Party's plan to amend electoral laws in Parliament saying the changes were in conformity with the Supreme Court ruling."What we are saying is that electronic and manual transmission should be used so that there are no excuses in case one of them fails. We should be prepared for any eventuality," he added.
